Selling Hope and College, an ethnography of college recruitment and precarity was  released by Cornell University Press in April 2017.  You can find updates and sneak-peaks into the book by following the Selling Hope Facebook Page.

Selling Hope and College offers an ethnographic snapshot in the life of a particular type of institution as it goes about the business of producing itself on a daily basis. I use ethnographic data to draw a human face on the struggles to keep an unranked institution open and running, and the tensions, and battles that members of the community tangle with daily as they walk a careful line—the line between empowering marginalized students and exploiting them.
